Pay Attention to Your Joints While you Workout

Joints should be watched out throughout the day and specially when you’re working out. We already gave you some breathing tips and told you how food improves your health. Now we are giving you tips to prevent injuries.

1. Watch your posture. Sometimes at work we end up in strange uncomfortable positions. Remember to sit straight, walk upright, and step correctly.

2. Listen to your body. Every effort needs careful planning and specific goals. If you are used to working out until you drop dead, please remember that everything worth having requires time, dedication and work. Don’t despair. You will see the results, you will look terrific and you will feel better!

3. Pay attention to your movements. Most injuries take place with common movements. Learn how to carry weight and use your muscles correctly. When you open a local store door you should use your shoulder as source of strength, not your elbow; you can always ask your doctor or your instructor for advice.

4. Eat healthy. If you watch what you eat you can prevent injuries. If you usually eat or drink too much coffee, sugar, red meat, ham or dairy products, you can deplete your skills. Having an unbalanced diet makes your muscles wear faster and can provoke strains and injuries. Listen to your body and remember that each one of us is different when it comes to eating.

5. Workout according to your age. Even if you have a great condition, as time passes by it becomes more difficult to keep the same training level. As we grow older, we should try new ways to work out while keeping fit and watching our body. Yoga is an excellent option to exercise without fear of getting injured.
